ABOUT US

The Diversity Project was born out of a deeply personal moment in February 2023, when founder Cassandra witnessed her younger sister, Shayna, struggle with self-acceptance after experiencing bullying due to her skin tone, body hair, and other physical traits. When Shayna expressed a desire to bleach her skin and become someone else entirely, Cassandra knew something had to change.

Determined to empower her sister and others like her, Cassandra launched The Diversity Project on Instagram, featuring 75 inspiring guests from around the world who openly shared their stories of identity, resilience, and self-love. These voices served as a powerful reminder to Shayna—and thousands of others—that it’s not just okay to be yourself—it’s something to be celebrated.

But Cassandra didn’t stop there.

She took her mission offline, traveling voluntarily to schools across the UK, facilitating interactive workshops that taught young women the importance of embracing who they are. Her message was clear: your uniqueness is your power.

In 2025, Cassandra expanded her vision by bringing together a passionate team of like-minded individuals, all driven by the same purpose—to make The Diversity Project bigger, louder, and more impactful.

Today, The Diversity Project offers transformational workshops and products designed to help young women in schools, beauty pageants, and beyond become the best version of themselves. Whether you’re joining a group session or seeking 1-on-1 guidance, our work is rooted in real stories, emotional healing, and practical tools for growth.

Our signature interactive workshops take participants on a journey:

From pain to power.

From self-doubt to self-worth.

From surviving to thriving.

One of our most beloved offerings is the Self-Love Journal—a beautifully crafted guidebook designed to help you turn healing into habit and self-love into a daily practice.

Meet Our Founder

Cassandra Jacob

Founder of The Diversity Project

Cassandra Jacob is the visionary behind The Diversity Project. She graduated in 2023 with a BSc Hons in Human Biology and Education, and currently works in the education sector in the United Kingdom. Her academic and professional background gives her a unique insight into the emotional and social challenges young girls and women face, especially when it comes to identity and self-worth.

The Diversity Project was born out of a deeply personal moment in February 2023, when Cassandra witnessed her younger sister, Shayna, struggle with self-acceptance after being bullied for her skin tone, body hair, and other physical traits. When Shayna tearfully expressed a desire to bleach her skin and change who she was, Cassandra knew that something had to change—not just for her sister, but for every woman who feels unseen, unworthy, or unrepresented.

With a mission to empower every woman to embrace self-love and acceptance, Cassandra created The Diversity Project to celebrate and uplift beauty in all its forms—across race, ethnicity, size, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, age, culture, and background.

As a beauty queen herself, crowned Miss Pageant Girl UK 2023, Cassandra has used her platform to amplify The Diversity Project’s message on a national stage. Since entering the pageant world in 2021, she has shown that beauty, strength, and leadership come in many forms. Her experience in the public eye—combined with her heart for education and advocacy—gives her a powerful voice in the movement for representation and equity.

Her passion, hard work, and relentless drive are rooted in a commitment to ensuring that young girls, women, and marginalized individuals feel seen, celebrated, and worthy—just as they are.

A message from Cassandra:

“I started The Diversity Project not because I had all the answers, but because I saw the cost of silence. Every young girl deserves to grow up believing they are enough. Every woman deserves to be proud of who they are. Diversity is not a trend—it is the truth of our humanity. My hope is that through this work, we can build a world where everyone feels empowered to take up space, just as they are.”

Personal Philosophy:

“When we honor our differences, we discover our collective strength. Real beauty begins with self-acceptance.”

Meet The Team

Angel Seraphina Jennings

Advertiser

Meet Angel Seraphina Jennings, a passionate and imaginative young advertiser. Born in 2002 into a Malayalee family in Singapore, Angel was raised in a vibrant blend of cultural tradition and creative freedom. From an early age, she showed a deep love for music and art, often expressing herself through painting, playing instruments, and storytelling. Outgoing, cheerful, and full of witty humor, Angel is known for her extroverted personality and magnetic presence. She thrives on creativity and human connection, always eager to meet new people and share ideas that inspire.

She made a bold decision to switch paths and pursue Advertising at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she discovered the powerful impact of visual storytelling. To her, everything in life is a form of advertisement, a reflection of identity, emotion, and purpose. This realization sparked a deep commitment to use her creativity to tell meaningful, authentic stories that resonate with others.

Having overcome personal struggles with bullying and body image, Angel now channels her experiences into empowerment. As a proud member of The Diversity Project, she is passionate about helping women feel confident, seen, and celebrated in their own skin. Angel believes that beauty exists in all forms, and she’s on a mission to reshape the way society views confidence and worth. Whether through advertising or activism, her goal is to uplift others and promote a world where diversity and self-love are not just accepted but championed.
